My Humble Opinion |

The
United States Senate Approves Amnesty
May 25, 2006, our pandering, gutless, insolent members of the U.S. Senate shamefully voted 62 - 36 in favor of rewarding 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens for their criminal activity by granting them amnesty. This arrogant action by the disdainful senators, in total contradiction with the wishes of the vast majority of the legal, hard-working, tax-paying citizens of this country, is an intentional slap in the face to all law abiding, honest voters. I urge all readers of this post who are offended by this presumptuous vote to print this page and keep it close to your heart so that on the next election day, when the supporters of this abominable piece of legislation offer you their candidacy for re-election, you will be reminded exactly how to vote. Throw the scoundrels out. Disregard your usual party affiliation and abolish this scourge from our government. We must ignore party loyalty and we must remove these impudent politicians. Remember, when they voted in favor of amnesty, they abandoned any loyalty to your desires and wishes. They cast aside your judgments, snubbed the will of the country and assumed an incredibly selfish posture by pandering for the votes of the illegal alien criminals. They have NO LOYALTY to you. Return the honor and VOTE THEM OUT! This legislation is not good for the United States of America. It is not good for our education system. It is not good for our health care system. It is not good for our courts and penal system. This legislation is not good for you. This legislation is good for Mexico. It is good for the Mexican welfare and penal system. It is good for the U.S. businesses who dangle the wage carrot and hire these illegal alien criminals. It is good for the millions and millions of uneducated, unskilled, poor laborers from not only Mexico, but from everywhere else on Earth. This legislation is good for politicians who are salivating over the votes they will receive from these criminals on their next re-election. Below is a chart that lists how your senator voted. A Yea vote is in favor of amnesty. A Nay vote is against amnesty. Additional information can be found below the chart. |

I am not! I am against ILLEGAL immigration. My wife and I spend a minimum of two weeks on holiday in Mexico every year, and we have been doing that for the past ten years. Mexico is a vacation paradise. We love their weather, beaches, music, food and most of all, their hospitality. Of course, our holidays there are at the popular resort/tourist cities of Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallerta. They have never threatened us (knock on wood), never made to feel uncomfortable, never had a language problem and yes, you can drink the water. However, why drink the water when their Cerveza is so great? (They do not have a clue how to make wine) The fact that we have between 12 million and 20 million illegals in this country demonstrates that we have room and jobs for them. But they are ILLEGAL. We don't know who they are. Are they honest, hard workers here for a job and financial gain to support their families? Are they criminals escaping the Mexican judicial system? We don't know who they are. We do know this. They have climbed over the backs of the hundreds of thousands of immigrants who are respecting and obeying the laws of the U.S.A. by applying for entrance into our country in a legal manner. This senate bill is a slap in the face to all of those honest, legal would be immigrants. Essentially, the senators are saying "You fools who are obeying our laws and have been standing in line for years waiting to enter our country legally can keep on waiting. We want to reward with immediate amnesty, the criminals and felons who entered our country illegally, filed fraudulent W-2 forms, forged Social Security numbers and evaded income taxes. Sorry suckers! Next time swim the river." Please contact your members of Congress in the House of Representatives and encourage them NOT to approve this senate disgrace. You and I see illegal invaders. Our senators see votes. That's the way I see it. David 05/26/06 |
